About the Center for Well-Being

Support for the Whole Person

The Center for Well-Being opened its doors in January 2020 after receiving a gift from The Haggerty Family Foundation who charged St. Thomas to create an innovative center that provides care and treatment to the St. Thomas community.

The University of St. Thomas Center for Well-Being enhances a healthy and inclusive campus culture through collaboration, comprehensive health promotion, and compassionate care that promotes lifelong well-being.

The Center for Well-Being provides compassionate care, expertise, education, and resources to help members of our community thrive in and out of the classroom. The Center provides a full array of health and mental health services in an integrated model. By integrating our services, we can better support students, faculty, and staff from a single location.
Our partner areas include:

  • Health Services
  • Counseling and Psychological Services
  • Health Promotion, Resilience, and Violence Prevention

    About the Haggerty Family

Recognizing a need for improved mental health services for St. Thomas students, Dan and Ruth Haggerty made a lead gift to provide a central facility offering coordinated care between the primary health care provider and mental health services. We gratefully acknowledge their support of our students.
