Responsibility for Personal Safety
While the University of St. Thomas can assume no responsibility for risks associated with participation in programs or activities, the university attempts to provide a safe environment for its students. Historically, few students have been injured while participating in program-related activities, yet none of us are immune to injury in the course of our daily lives, work, play, or field of study.
Each student should conduct themselves using due and reasonable care in their actions. Student status creates no "special" relationship between the student and the university, and the university is not a “custodian” of the safety of students.
